004-XC Christ the Pantocrator
This icon is a shoulder-length variant of the half-length icon of Christ the Pantocrator from Hilandar Monastery.
It is a replica of the well-known icon of Christ the Pantocrator from Hilandar Monastery (Mt Athos), which dates back to the 13th century.
The image of Christ as the Pantocrator, the King of All, is known in Byzantine art since the 4th century and is central to the iconography of Jesus Christ.
A printed image is glued to the wooden base and coated with protective transparent varnish. Comes in several sizes.
