004-XC Christ the Pantocrator

This icon is a shoulder-length variant of the half-length icon of Christ the Pantocrator from Hilandar Monastery.

It is a replica of the well-known icon of Christ the Pantocrator from Hilandar Monastery (Mt Athos), which dates back to the 13^th century.

The image of Christ as the Pantocrator, the King of All, is known in Byzantine art since the 4^th century and is central to the iconography of Jesus Christ.

A printed image is glued to the wooden base and coated with protective transparent varnish. Comes in several sizes.
