IDM-409 Lestovka Prayer Bracelet 25 segments
According to Old Russian tradition, a braided prayer rope called Lestovka (lit. a Ladder) resembles a flexible staircase and symbolizes the ladder of spiritual ascent from the earth to the Heavens.
The Lestovka prayer rope is in the form of a black, white or brown leather bracelet of 25 segments.
The Lestovka prayer bracelets are made at the Men's Rehabilitation Center of St. Elisabeth Convent in accordance with the ancient Russian tradition. Soft leather balls are woven together by hand, and the Jesus Prayer is placed inside each of them. Every five segments are separated by a cross for convenience.
Each prayer bracelet is woven by hand and therefore may differ from the one shown on the photo.
By purchasing a Lestovka prayer bracelet, you donate to the Men's Rehabilitation Center of St. Elisabeth Convent.
