Price & Deadlines
The final price of the icon of the Most Holy Theotokos Pantanassa and the time it will take to paint it depend on its size and the complexity of its decoration.
Once this icon is painted, it will be consecrated in St Elisabeth Convent.
Among icons of the Theotokos, those depicting the Queen of Heaven enthroned, known as Panakhranta (All-Merciful), hold a special place. The Christ Child sits on her lap. Famous examples include the Cyprus, the Caves, the Pskov-Pokrovskaya, the "Sovereign," and the "All-Holy Queen" icons.
The wonderworking "All-Holy Queen" icon resides in the Vatopedi Monastery on Mount Athos in Greece. This small 17th-century image has long drawn pilgrims seeking help and protection from the Virgin Mary during illness and hardship. Numerous healings from cancer have followed prayers before this icon.
Commemorated on August 31.
