IOM-03-01 Wedding Icon of Christ the Pantocrator (in Oklad / Riza)
Handpainted Icon of Christ the Pantocrator in handmade emboidered Oklad (Riza).
This icon of Christ is a part of a wedding set.
A wedding set of icons is a traditional gift, which the newlyweds receive from their parents during the Sacrament of Matrimony. It is held in high esteem as a symbol of strong family ties and love.
This icon is painted on a gessoed board using acrylic paints and gold leaf. This icon is fully painted under the oklad (not just the visible parts).
The oklad is made from velvet and brocade, decorated with semiprecious stones (zirconium), natural pearls, Swarovski strasses, Czech and Japanese beads, bugle beads, and cannetille.
The total cost of this icon in oklad includes a non-opening wooden kiot (icon case). You can order an opening or carved kiot, too.
We will do our best to make the icon look exactly the way you want it to. The cost of an icon depends on its size, complexity of its composition and decorative elements.
The standard size of the Icon is 20×25 cm.
Please note that one must meticulously follow the technology to make sure the icon's lifespan is as long as possible. It does take some time, 1.5 to 4 months on average. Please bear this fact in mind when ordering an icon.
