St. Martyr Yury Novitsky icon is painted by hand in the icon-painting studio of St. Elisabeth Convent. The icon can be with or without icon case (kiot).
Martyr John (Ivan) Kosharov and Yury Novitsky were called to represent the clergy and laity of the Diocese of Petrograd before the Soviet authorities.
Ivan Kosharov was appointed commissioner for general church affairs, and Yury Novitsky served as the president of the association of Orthodox parishes of Petrograd. In those years, the Bolshevik government not only concerned itself with the church properties but also exercised surveillance of the activities of the clergy.
Commemorated on February 8, August 13.

- Lime, alder, or pine board with oak splines
- Low count fabric
- Gesso
- Colored wax
- Gold leaf
- Linseed oil
- Hide glue
- Varnishes (mordant, kauri gum, acryl-styrolic)

Decorations
Decorated with gold-plating of the halo and the background; gold-painting on the vestments; chiseling on gesso. This icon of may be additionally adorned with wrought silver, an oklad, and gemstones in casts.
