Parable of the Day: What Can We Buy in God’s Store?

There was a woman who saw God behind the counter in a store.

“Is it You, O Lord?” she exclaimed happily.

“Yes, it’s Me,” God replied.

“What can I buy in your store?”

“Everything,” was the answer.

“In that case, please give me health, happiness, love, success, and a lot of money.”

God smiled gracefully and went to the storage room to bring the ordered goods. After a while, He returned with a small paper box.

“Is that all?!” the woman sounded disconcerted and disappointed.

“Yes, that’s all,” God replied. “Didn’t you know that my store sells only seeds?”
