Icon of Panagia ‘Weeps’ in Athens

According to reports from clergy of Agios Dimitrios Church in Vyronas, southeast of Athens, an icon of the Virgin Mary miraculously begun streaming tears.

The tears were said to have appeared on the icon on September 8, the Feast Day of the Nativity of the Theotokos.

According to Ekklisiaonline, a nun noticed something strange was happening with the icon of the Virgin Mary holding Jesus. It was later discovered by a priest that the icon was weeping.

Parishioners and visitors flocked to see what many of them are calling a miracle.
