IMP-06-07-6 Miracle of Archangel Michael at Chonae
A painted icon of the miracle of Holy Archangel Michael at Chonae.
Pagans plotted against St Archippus and decided to destroy his Church in honour of St Michael the Archangel. They united the flows of two mountain rivers and directed them towards the church. Holy Archangel Michael appeared near the church and with a blow of his staff, opened a wide fissure in a rock and the rushing torrents of water flowed into it. The church was rescued from flooding.
