031-XC Christ the Pantocrator
The image of Christ the Pantocrator (the Ruler of All) is the most popular one in the iconography of Jesus. Nevertheless, this icon is unique in several respects. The Savior is portrayed with the symbols of royal power (the scepter and the orb) instead of the Gospel in his left hand. This icon is made by glueing a high-quality printed image on a wooden board and covering it with a layer of transparent lacquer. Our workshop at St Elisabeth Convent makes this icon of Christ the Pantocrator in several sizes.
