1. St Theodora was an active sympathizer with the Monophysites. She provided aid and shelter to Jacob the founder of the Syrian Jacobite Church.

2. St Justinian started out supporting the Chalcedonian formula, even to the point of issuing orders that Monophysites should be tracked-down and burnt on the spot. But then in his latter years, he did a “180” and embraced a really far-out radical form of monophysitism which said that Christ did not have a human body at all and that his sufferings and death were just an illusion.
