Thank you for sharing this really interesting story, my brother in Christ. Yes, much prayer is needed. When people stop praying, things go downhill; when people return to prayer and Christian faith, things calm down again.

A brief story: I’m a firefighter/paramedic and retired mma fighter. During the 2016 president election campaign in the States I was on detail as a medic standby for the democratic nominee as they came through our city.

The whole affair was one embarrassment of logistics to another. It was summer. Thousands of people packed into a high school gymnasium with very loud music, no ventilation, no water or food. Not even chairs! They waited for hours for their candidate to show.

Soon, the older people in the crowd started to faint and hit the floor. We did our best to wade through the crowd and escort them or carry them to fresh air and away from what I saw as pure madness. Several times, as I escorted an elderly man or woman to a chair or out of the gym I had a secret service agent confront me that they weren’t allowed to sit down. That they weren’t allowed to leave!!

I went directly into his face and stated calmly that my duty is to these people and it’s shame his is not. Now get out of my way. Forgive my own anger, please, but we nearly came to blows over trying to help an elderly woman who fainted! I said clearly, you do not care about us.

Later when the candidate and her husband arrived and I was able to see them face to face I realized for the first time in my life that I was seeing what demons can do when they really take ahold of someone. How that hate trickled out like a virus for zealousness of ‘rights’ and ideology of intolerance.

One volunteer actually said to me ‘we have three months left to save the world!’ And she clapped her hands at me with every syllable. What madness! I said quietly to her I don’t believe in political saviors. Her mouth dropped open in offense.

We have another election cycle cresting here, and I fear it will be even more extreme and insane both before and after. Because no matter what happens, one side will feel ‘justified for their outrage’ and the other will feel ‘justifed’ reacting to it. If Americans love one thing other than ourselves, it’s ‘justice’ =-/

Please pray for us
