Allah IS Yahweh. Allah is Jesus the Christ. “Allah” is the Arabic word for god, it is what God is, and not His name. American evangelicals have never had any understanding of the Arab world, whether that world be the Christian Arab world or the Islamic Arab world. I don’t think they will ever be convinced that Allah means God, as does Boh or Bog, or Deus or Theos. In Islam as in Judaism the actual name of God is too sacred to utter or to write. So God is referred to only as Allah or Elohim. This is what God is, the God. Many people think that Jesus Christ is His first name and last name. Not so. Yeshua bar Yosep would be His first and last name. (Isus Iosepovich). His name is Yeshua (Jesus) and He is Mashiac (Messiah -the Christ – the Annointed One). The 99 Attributes of God in Islam are the superlatives that any Jew, Christian, Moslem or Baha’i could use in addressing the Creator of all that is. Yes, Allah is God, Allah is Yahweh.
